MININGS
The Democratic Republic of Congo is world-renowned for its vast deposits of minerals of varying quality. Mines extract natural resources from the subsoil, such as gold in the eastern part of the country. SAGS has strengthened its partnership with mining holders.
GOLD SMELTING
Gold is smelted by heating it above its melting point, which is approximately 1064°C. The molten gold can then be poured into a mold to make ingots.
SHAPING
After refining, the next step is shaping: rolling, forging, and cutting.

The 999.9 or 24 karats marking indicates that the product is made of almost entirely pure gold, with a purity of 99.99%. This is the gold quality most often used for bullion bars and many investment coins.

CIF Transactions & Export Formalities
SAM GATE & SERVICES “SAGS” prioritizes CIF transactions to any destination of the buyer. We handle export formalities and applicable taxes in the DRC or any other transit country.
Note: This work is carried out in close collaboration with our freight forwarders until delivery. All products declaration costs in the country chosen by the buyer, from airport services to their refinery, are borne by the buyer.
Pricing Mechanisms & Financial Guarantee
The contract price is fixed with the LBMA discount. SAM GATE AND SERVICES “SAGS” handles the delivery process and assumes that the buyer fulfills their full counterparty obligations.
Required Guarantee: As our sole guarantee in this regard, we require the buyer to provide a Standby Letter of Credit (SBLC) to formally commit to the contract.
Our Services
Gold & Mineral Supply
1. We confirm the availability and quantity of export-ready products with our various mining partners in the DRC.
2. Upon request, we handle the supply and identify the most suitable export ports.
3. We organize the necessary logistics from the DRC to Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and other countries when export via East African countries is required
Gold Refining & Smelting
Products arriving from the DRC in the form of nuggets are smelted into bars. The government then performs analyses using its equipment and technology.
Documentation
Our freight forwarder handles the product documentation, tax payments, and insurance, a process that typically takes 3 to 4 days.
Delivery
Once the documents are validated, the products are transported to the airport for loading, then delivered to the buyer in the country of their choice.
